BRACKEN RIDGE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Perched atop a hill in suburban Bracken Ridge, this expansive green sanctuary delivers panoramic vistas that stretch from Moreton Island to the city skyline and rolling hinterland beyond. The reserve's elevated position provides sweeping views across the bay and Gateway Motorway, with glimpses of distant coastal mountains adding to the dramatic backdrop. Families gather around well-positioned BBQ facilities and covered picnic tables strategically placed to maximise the spectacular outlook. The playground nestles beneath established shade trees, while comprehensive amenities include clean toilets, drinking water, outdoor gym equipment, and a basketball court. Dog owners particularly appreciate the thoughtfully designed off-leash areas, with separate sections for large and small dogs. Multiple access points ensure convenient parking, while the abundance of mature trees creates a refreshing canopy throughout this surprisingly secluded urban retreat.
